What We Believe
Our mission is simple: Know God, Be strong, and Do great exploits (Daniel 11:32)
We believe the Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Proverbs 30:5,
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus is both human and divine.
John 1:1, 14, 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 9:6, Philippians 2:5-6, 1 Timothy 2:5
We believe every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation (accepting Christ’s sacrifice and God’s forgiveness for sin).
Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16, 3:8, Titus 3:5, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.
John 14:17, 23, John 15:4
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that every Christian can be baptized in the Holy Spirit and is given special gifts that help both minister to the Body of Christ and the lost, as found in both Romans 12 and
1 Corinthians 12.
Joel 2:28-29, Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39
We believe a divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us, under leadership, must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other followers of Jesus, and to build up or edify the body of believers-the Church.
PRAISE AND WORSHIP
We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy, and praise.
Psalm 150, Revelation 7:9-10
We believe there is only One True God-revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:7, Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, Luke 1:35,
Isaiah 9:6, Hebrews 3:7-11
FALL OF MAN
We believe though originally good, man willingly fell into sin-bringing evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
Genesis 1:26-31, Romans 5:12-21
BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
We believe and practice two ordinances (1) water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy communion as a remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:12, 36-38,
10:47-48, Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25
We believe sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive, lifelong process of separating from evil as followers of Jesus, continually drawing us closer to God and to become more Christ-like.
1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18,
We believe the church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the church’ is the body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, Hebrews 12:23, John 17:11, 20-23
We believe in divine healing of the sick which is provided for in Christ’s atonement.
Psalm 103:2-3, Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:16-17, Acts 8:6-7
We believe that people of every race, age, and background are made in God’s image and are to be loved, pastored, and presented with God’s good news.
