The Academy at Church Eleven32
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU USE?
Recognizing that all students learn differently, we strive to differentiate our instruction to meet the spiritual, social, and academic needs of our students. Using the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, leadership objectives, and scripture as their framework, teachers continually research and select curriculum to create an individualized learning plan for each classroom. We use resources from ACSI, Singapore Math, Houghton Mifflin, Abeka, Scholastic and many other reputable education companies.
We are firm believers in using multiple different teaching strategies in the classroom, since each student learns differently. The curriculum is designed to think about mathematical relationships and concepts and to explore the “why” not just the “how”.
Students at The Academy at Church Eleven32 receive instruction in various subject areas that constitute a well-balanced curriculum including Bible, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, music, art, computer literacy, STEM, Spanish (K - 6), and study skills. Please see our 2021-2022 Curriculum Guide for specific information about the curriculum resources used in each grade.
WHAT DOES THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
We offer school tours during the week, which can be scheduled by emailing Brittany Henson. We always love the chance to meet with prospective families to share our vision and answer any questions you may have. After a tour is completed, interested families will fill out an Enrollment Application. Once the application is received a family interview will be set up with the Director, and a one-on-one academic assessment will be scheduled for your child. After the family interview and academic assessment are completed you will receive an acceptance letter for The Academy at Church Eleven32.

DO YOUR STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS?
Yes, we believe that uniforms help create a focused learning environment. We have Uniform Basics that can be purchased using the instructions on our Uniform Guidelines document. We do realize that individuality and style preference are still of great importance, so every September we will come out with a Fall Line! The Fall Line will include specifically selected items from major retailers that we will embroider with our school logo. Students will be able to wear items from the Fall Line or Uniform Basics on any school day.
WHAT ARE YOUR START AND END TIMES?
Our school hours are from 8:00am-3:00pm for all grades Kindergarten and above, and we follow the Allen ISD Calendar.
HOW FAST DOES THE ACADEMY AT CHURCH ELEVEN32 PLAN ON ADDING ADDITIONAL GRADES?
We plan on adding at least one grade per year, but it is our goal to grow much faster than that! Please contact us if you would like to be the first to know the details of any upcoming details!
DO ACADEMY STUDENTS TAKE FIELD TRIPS?
Yes! We LOVE taking field trips! Nothing enhances classroom instruction more than hands-on experience. Both school-side and grade specific field trips are taken throughout the year, in direct relation to what the students are learning. Some of our field trips include Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Fire Dept, the library, Allen City Hall, KidZania, and the zoo!
Field trips may be postponed during the Covid-19 pandemic. If a field trip is offered, parents will be able to choose if they want their student to attend or stay on campus doing alternate activities.
